New 2016-2017 RC Car World Indoor Carpet Season Schedule Released

The new schedule just released includes several point series scheduled on Saturdays and Sundays and 2 new classes.
 

The new tentative RC Car World 2016-2017 race schedule was released on August 16th.

This new season we are adding on 2 new classes to all events.

The first new class is the Vaterra class, which is recommended for beginners. To qualify for this class you must have a Vaterra Car: 1972 Chevy, 2012 CHP Camaro, 1967 Ford Mustang,  1968 Chevy Camaro, 2012 Nissan G-TR, 2015 Ford Mustang, 1972 Chevy C10, 2015 K&N Ford Mustang, 1968 Ford F100, 2012 Chevy Camaro or 1969 Chevy Camaro SS. No brushless cars are allowed in this class. The tires allowed in this class are HPI Vintage with radial tires or Vaterra wheels and tires. Any Vaterra upgrades as well as electronics are allowed (except for stock motors). Any non-touring car body will be OK.

 

The second new class is the Breakout class, which is open to any car,  and has no limits on mods. In this class the slowest car will set the pace, therefore laps under this time will not count. Additional information will be posted for this class.

 

The new racing  schedule features the following signature races:

  • Nov. 5th, Garden State Shoot Out Trophy 
  • Dec. 3rd, Third Annual Charity Race (Theme TBD)
  • Jan. 14th,  F1-Mini Ruckus, Featuring Mini, F1, USVTA and USGT Trophy Race
  • Feb. 11th, PCP – Pan Car Pandemonium Trophy Race
  • Mar. 4th, 3rd Annual Eastern States Championship Trophy Race Part 1
  • Mar. 5th, 3rd Annual Eastern States Championship Trophy Race Part 2
  • Apr. 22nd, Mini Madness Trophy Race

It also features several point series races for Saturdays, Saturday Evenings and Sundays. 

Possible On-Road classes are Touring, USVTA, 1/12, F1, WGT, USGT, TCS Mini, Vaterra and Breakout.

Saturday point series sessions for 2016 will meet 7 times with 2 drops, culminating with a trophy event.

  • Oct. 1
  • Oct. 15
  • Oct. 29
  • Nov. 19
  • Nov. 26
  • Dec. 10 (Trophy Race)

 

Saturday evening point series sessions for 2016 will meet 6 times with 2 drops, culminating with a trophy event.
This is geared toward beginners. We will recommend this class to everyone that wants to join club racing for the first time.
There will be 1 hour of controlled practice, and racing will start at 6PM.

  • Oct. 1
  • Oct. 15
  • Oct. 29
  • Nov. 19 (Trophy Race)

Sunday point series sessions for 2016 will meet 7 times with 2 drops, culminating with a trophy event.

  • Sept. 11
  • Sept. 25
  • Oct. 9
  • Oct. 23
  • Nov. 13
  • Nov. 27
  • Dec. 11 (Trophy Race)

Oval races for 2016 will meet on Saturday evenings, possibles classes are Breakout
17.5 Truck, Blinky Oval, Mudboss, SK Modified, Oval Sportsman.
Meeting dates are:

  • Sept. 24
  • Oct. 8
  • Oct. 22
  • Nov. 12
  • Nov. 26
  • Dec. 17

Meeting dates are:

  • Jan. 28
  • Feb. 4
  • Feb. 18
  • Mar. 18
  • Apr. 1st
  • Apr. 15
  • May 6 (Trophy Race)

Saturday evening point series sessions for 2017 will meet 6 times with 1 drop, culminating with a trophy event.

  • Jan. 28
  • Feb. 25
  • Mar. 11
  • Mar. 18
  • Apr. 15
  • May 6 (Trophy Race)

Sunday point series sessions for 2017 will meet 7 times with 2 drops, culminating with a trophy event.
Meeting dates are:

  • Jan. 15
  • Jan. 29
  • Feb. 26
  • Mar. 26
  • Apr. 9
  • Apr. 30
  • May 7 (Trophy Race)

Saturday evening oval point series sessions for 2017 will meet on Saturday evenings.
Possibles classes are Breakout, 17.5 Truck, Blinky Oval, Mudboss, SK Modified, Oval Sportsman. 
Meeting times are:

  • Jan. 7
  • Jan. 21
  • Feb. 4
  • Feb 18th.
  • Mar. 25th
  • Apr. 15th
  • Apr. 29th

There will be a full date race on Sunday March 12th. This is for the Outlaw Racing League or ORL race.
